About International Tai Chi Association and New Jersey Tai Chi Association:

The New Jersey Tai Chi Association (NJTCA) - 新澤西太極協會 is under the International Tai Chi Association (ITCA) - 國際太極協會 and registered federally and with the state of New Jersey. It is comprised of the Bergen Tai Chi Group. The Association often participates in demonstrations at many locations such as schools, senior centers, churches, temples, and community centers. The Association's purpose is to develop Tai Chi Kung Fu and help people through Tai Chi exercises for better health. The Association can also help members join Tai Chi competitions in China or Taiwan. In addition, certificates can be issued to members who have met the specified qualifications once they have passed testing.

The Association consists of a strong master’s team including international coaches and judges of Tai Chi Chuan.  In addition, members of the Association have competed and received the bronze medal at the 2008 World Cup Tai Chi Championship and placed 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th at the World Games 2009. The Association can provide Tai Chi masters for public or private classes.

 

The NJTCA welcomes individuals or groups who are interested in Tai Chi Kung Fu to join us.

About Membership Disclaimer:

1. Member must willingly volunteer his/her time to the community through promoting Tai Chi.

2. Member must also actively practice Tai Chi and strive for better technique, flow, and overall form.

3. The expiration date for membership is one year after the original date of issuance or renewal. 

4. People whose memberships have expired for 2 years or more must re-apply for membership to be reinstated.

5. Members will have special advanced-registration opportunities and receive discounts to all New Jersey Tai Chi Association (NJTCA) activities. The New Jersey Tai Chi Association welcomes individuals or groups who are interested in Tai Chi Kung Fu to join us.

6. Membership points are given for members when they participate in performances.  The number of points one receives depend on the performance and these points can be used towards NJTCA-sponsored activities. Each point can be redeemed as $1.00 before membership expiration.  (No cash value)

7. Membership points and Membership expiration are only valid with authorized signature.

About Master Tai-Hsiang (Ted) Peng - 彭泰祥:

Master Ted Peng began practicing Tai Chi Chuan, Wushu and Qi Gong at a young age with grand master Shao-Jiu, Sun - 孫韶九老師. He has continued to learn Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan, Sword, Fan, Stick, Shao Lin Chuan and Tae Kwon Do. He is a certified National Coach of Taiwan, as well as a certified International Tai Chi Chuan coach and judge.  In addition, he has achieved the 9th level of Martial Arts and 7th level of Tai Chi Chuan.

Master Peng has been teaching for over 14 years in the US. He has taught over two thousand students at several locations such as schools, recreation centers, community centers, senior centers, summer camp and YMCA. He currently teaches in various locations around the New Jersey and New York metro area.

About Master Ling-Chuan (Jane) Peng - 陳玲娟:

Master Ling Peng began learning Tai Chi Chuan at a young age and continued to learn Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan, Sword and Fan. She has been teaching for over 6 years in the US and is certified at the 7th level of Tai Chi Chuan and 9th level of Martial Arts. Additionally, she is a certified International Tai Chi Chuan coach and judge. She has received a bronze medal at the 2008 World Cup Tai Chi Championship in Taiwan, and has placed 5th for Tai Chi Chuan and Tai Chi Sword at the 2009 World Games.

Master Peng has many years of experience teaching Tai Chi in many locations such as schools, senior centers, churches, and community center.  She is able to teach most of the Yang Style and Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan, Sword, and Kung Fu Fan.
